Today was Nina's 18 month(adjusted) follow-up visit with the neonatal Dr's at CHOP.
First we did the development eval where they use the Bailey scale to rate her.
She was on the 18 month level for everything except gross motor where she scored higher age level and speech where she scored actual age level! (yeah Nina!)
Nina had to do such things as place pegs in a board and watch a car go into a clear "garage" and get it out, match shapes, stack blocks, point to different items in a book, draw a line. So with that said she scored at her adjusted age.
She had to kick and throw a ball, climb stairs, and bring her knee to her chest while standing.
And she was talking a lot (as usual)
Second was the physical exam. Nina is 25.4 pounds and 30 1/8 inches(based on height not lenght)Her height is a direct cause of her very low birth weight. Doc said she is following her curve for height and not to be concerned.
So that's it. They are really pleased with her progress and we go back at her 24 month adjusted appt which is in 6 months.

Brie is a shortie too! I think at her last checkup she was 30.5 in and only 22 lbs. They are both doing great for being born so tiny
Ok, how awesome is Nina! GO NINA! That is great!!
I wouldn't worry about the height too much. All of ours got measured yesterday, and they were 32 1/4 in length (I didn't realize height was different than length? That's crazy!) So would they be shorter in height then?
Anyway, yay Nina!
