Update day 17

Today they had to put Nina on a high- frequency ventilator called an Oscillating vent.
This will keep her lungs continuously inflated by providing mini quantities of air at rapid rates. Seeing her chest vibrating made me uneasy at first, but Dr assured me that she is more comfortable now than on the conventional vent and this will help her.
As for Livia...if she keeps up the good work Dr said she could come off vent tonight or tomorrow and go back to CPAP.
Georgia is doing OK today, she had a rough night and had to be "bagged" (mask over her moth and nose and pump O2) a few times (twice while we visited last night) Nurse sucked a lot of mucus out of her lungs after those episodes and Georgia is doing a lot better today.

On a lighter note, the girls all have detached ear lopes (like their mother) and the second toe is longer than the big toe for all as well(like their mother) :)
