Nina is at age level (a 16 month old) for social, speech, and self- help! She's a social happy kid! Always engaged in play and loves to discover new things. No issues with her speech at this point which is a great relief b/c this is the age when a red flag could come up. (that's what the teacher said) Self- help refers to getting something for herself instead of whining for me to get it.(YOU GO GIRL!)
She is at adjusted(12-13 months) for cognitive (cause and effect and strength) and fine motor.
Janet wants Nina to work on pushing things down for strength. Nina needs to use her whole hand to push instead of one finger:) She needs to work on blowing (like a harmonica or bubbles) She said we could play tug of war with her for strength too. She wants Nina to work on that pinc
her grasp more with puzzles. So yeah, great visit. no red flags...no ongoing therapy suggested. I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty pleased with her evaluation!

Yippie! Nina ....
Wow, she is doing absolutely amazingly!!!
Our friend Nina (born on March 6, 2007) and your Nina are on the same target, that is so funny!!! I just think it's miraculous to see them progress like this, if you remember where they are coming from...
Keep up the good work!!!
Nina is doing so great...we are very impressed.
In terms of harmonicas and such, you can also try a recorder---we got a nice one from amazon or somewhere for about 3.50 and Hallie loves it. We also got her a harmonica and she loves that, too. And so if Nina gets some wind instruments, maybe we can have a micro preemie ensemble? (Hallie's birthday drum set from Aunts Renee and Kim and now cousin Taylor are on their way....oy vay!)
Wow - those are great reports!! Amazing for a 24 weeker. Congrats:-)
That's an awesome evaluation!! Go Nina!
